Car Insurance Isuzu (Car Insurance). Got in fender bender, help?!?Got in fender bender, help?!? Okay so this is what happened, (i will admit to you all, it was my fault!) Me and my friend were going to burger king, and i pulled into a parking space, and i was in a hurry. It was a really crappy job of parking so i was all like "alright i gotta back up and fix this" and before i did i checked to my left..nobody was there. i checked to my right.. nobody was there. and then i started looking behind me and going.. my mistake? i didn't check back to the left again, and of course theres a car coming.. except i dont see the white pickup until i see it through my back windshield and at this point i stopped as quick as i could but hit him. Now in this car there were a man and a woman. the man was driving. I got out and told them i was sorry. this is my first time ever being in a situation like this, im 16 and got my license a few months ago. the first thing the woman in the truck says is "im going to need your information" i went to go back to my car at this point to grab the insurance information and everything like that, but as i do she calls back to me and said something that i didnt really hear. So i turn around and ask "what?" she says "if you give us 20 bucks we'll just pretend this never happened." well they seemed to be in a hurry, and so was I. So I decided "fine" and gave them 20 bucks. Then i proceeded to get back into my car and I pulled up away from the pickup to survey the damage of my car, at which point the woman in the truck does the same for hers. My car has no damage whatsoever when I look at it now, and neither does theirs. It must have been okay with them because the second the woman got back in the car the truck sped away (looked like they were in one hell of a hurry too) and left. So I figure this is all said and done and nothing more will happen. Anyways me and my friend go into the burger king (after correcting my parking) and eat. then after i take him back to his house, i get out and check the car once again. I can just barely see 2 little pinch sized dents in the rear bumper of my dads car. Hardly noticeable. So me, not wanting to get in trouble, decided not to tell anybody about it. It was actually earlier today that this happened. So i came home, and nobody noticed and I didn't say a thing. But i was telling my girlfriend about what happened and she said that if they get my license plate number or anything like that then they can get all the information they need, and after looking at a few things online I am now starting to worry that they may call their insurance company and who knows what they will say or do. My parents told me they put me on their insurance and my dads car that i was driving is good as far as paperwork and everything goes. But should i maybe let my parents know about it so we can call insurance and do something about it before the other driver decides to take action, even though they told me they wont? I just don't exactly trust them, they seemed like they were in a hurry and probably didn't want to deal with all this, but me being a new and inexperienced driver (which i am sure they noticed) just wanted to get this over with. So I gave them 20 bucks like an idiot, but maybe they are thinking they can get more money out of me if I was willing to give them 20 just like that. Anyways what do you guys think I should do? I'm a little new to the whole "accident" situation. Don't do anything. You paid them $20, so I doubt they are going to report the incident to anyone. Yes you should probably tell your parents, because what if the owner of the truck makes up another story or something that never happened. Then they might raise your parents insurance , Its better if you at least tell your mom and not your dad, or to who ever your closer to, so that in case they find out they won't be surprised and maybe they won't trust you as much now bacause u didn't tell them the truth. look, this is a fender bender (if that, more like a fender dinger) relax would you, you wound yourself up way to tight over a minor ding if anything. parking lot dings, happen to all of us. I suggest you jest show your dad the tiny dings, explain what happened briefly ok, we don't need the entire evenings history, no for such minor ding. I don't know what those people will do and neither do you. you do not need to notify the insurance and open a claim or anything else. take it easy its going to be ok, in the future do not giveaway money , and write down the other parties information.. In fact there was no damage, there is no need for any further worry. They are not going to claim some injury, so let dad know, and please, share your feelings about this whole ordeal, your dad can help you get through this, like me he has already been where your going next, had a bottle of jack, and been back for supper, hang in there it will work out ok okay so... like way too like long but okay so like forget it and stop like worrying...okay so like. It is always foolish to settle outside" of insurance... like okay so. Auto parts : Scribe Acura 1995 . Sealant Alfa Romeo 1996 . Security Alarm System Audi 1997 . Sheet Metal Bender BMW 1998 . What to name a Mustang (car)? What to name a Mustang (car)? This is gonna sound super silly, but I recently got an 06 black and yellow mustang gt. (black stripe, yellow paint) Here comes the silly part....I've always had names for the cars we have. My brothers old blue truck, smurf. My dad/my old car (his but I drove it when I got my license) Tristan, long story haha. And all my friends have their cars named too. Anyway, now that I legitimately have my first own car I want a name. I was thinking Sally...original I know, mustang sally. haha. My mom said Brit (because I got it today, the day of the royal wedding and I LOVE england) then my friends said Wiz, because of Wiz Kahlifa and since his song is called Black and Yellow and it talks about a car in it. Isuzu . How to Paint a Car Bare Metal PrepIf you are repainting a car, it may help to paint over bare metal rather than over a current paint job. This is especially true if you are applying a lighter shade. This will require a lot of preparation, however. You must make sure the car's surface is completely bare, clean and in good condition to avoid any chance of the new paint peeling off. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Goggles, gloves and other protective clothing Sandpaper Power sander Tack cloth Wax/grease remover Cutting/welding torch 18-to-22 gauge metal Hammer Urethane primer Rigid block Step by Step : 1 Make sure you have removed all the original paint from the metal. Sand it away using 320 grit sandpaper or a power sander. Sandblasting can also work as long as you make sure you don't get sand anywhere inside the car. 2 Clean the entire surface. Use a grease and wax remover solution. Don't use paint thinner or mineral spirits because they can leave residue. Wipe the surface dry with a tack cloth. Drag the cloth across the surface instead of rubbing to avoid leaving behind any tack-cloth material. 3 Cut away any parts that are excessively rusted or damaged and patch the holes with 18-to-22-gauge metal; this will require a cutting and welding torch. Pound any dents back into place with a hammer or large suction cup. 4 Disconnect any parts from the car if it makes painting them easier. Look for every bolt fastening the part in place and disconnect it; some bolts may be concealed. The part will come off easily unless you don't remove every fastener. Don't force it off or you will damage it. 5 Apply the urethane primer to the surface in even strokes, then sand down the primer to even it out. The best way is a method called "blocking," which involves wrapping 400-grit sandpaper around a rigid block and rubbing it across the surface. 6 Apply the paint to the prepared surface in the same long, even strokes as the primer. Use a tarp, cloth and/or tape to cover up any surface not being painted. You'll need at least two coats of paint, with each coat taking 30 to 90 minutes to dry, followed by three coats of clear coat that take 15 minutes to dry. Tips & Warnings Always work in a well ventilated area to avoid breathing in harmful fumes. You should also wear a respirator mask with protective goggles, gloves and clothes you don't mind getting paint on. The welding/cutting torch requires flame resistant clothing and a protective face mask. If you have little to no experience using this tool, you must let a professional handle any metal repairs that require cutting and patching.
Isuzu . How to Prep Your Car for a Quick SaleIf you sell your car as an individual, you can get a higher price than if you trade it in at a car dealership. When you do a trade-in you are selling your car wholesale. In addition, you are selling it to someone who has a lot more experience than you do in buying and selling cars. When you sell your car to a private individual, you are selling your car retail and are likely to get a higher price. Since you are probably inexperienced at selling cars, here are some tips I've learned over the years. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need A trustworthy mechanic. Touch-up paint that matches factory specs. Water hose, bucket, sponges, soap and towel. Car wax and buffing cloths. Step by Step : 1 Make sure your car is running well. I am not suggesting that you do major engine or transmission work, as that will not pay off for you. I am suggesting, however, that you make sure that minor mechanical repairs are made. This will make your car easier to sell and will keep the buyer happy. 2 Give your car the best cleaning that it has ever seen. You can have this done professionally at a automotive detail shop, but you might have to pay as much as $200 - $300 for the job. This is money out of your pocket when you sell the car. Keep your money and take the following steps. 3 Start with the inside of your car. Thoroughly wash the windows on the inside, using Windex or other glass cleaners. Wipe the windows with a soft, lint-free cloth instead of a paper towel. 4 While inside your car, clean all the vinyl and leather with good-quality cleaner designed for those specific purposes. You should do this twice: first time gets the grime off, and the second time makes the surfaces shine. 5 Clean all the crevices on the inside of the car using a soapy cleanser, toothpicks and Q-Tips. This is an important step. Almost nobody selling a car goes to the trouble of doing this, so your car is sure to stand out. 6 Vacuum the carpets, front, back and in the trunk. If the carpets don't look great after vacuuming, shampoo them just as you would the carpets in your house or apartment. 7 If the carpets have holes in them, and they frequently will just south of the gas pedal, buy floormats to cover up the holes. You can get a decent set for about $25.00 at WalMart, Target, AutoZone, etc. 8 Steam clean your engine and undercarriage. Make sure that the dirt, muck and grime are gone from the wheel wells, firewall and under-body. This process will also make your engine look much better. 9 Make sure your wheels shine and your tires have been "polished." Good-looking wheels and tires are to a car what new shoes are to a person. They help make a first-class impression -- or not. Step by Step : 10 Remove all the bug splatter from your car. This is particularly important if you are selling your car in the summertime. Get one of those little containers of bug and tar remover. Put a little muscle into scrubbing off the remains of those little critters. Step by Step : 11 If you have scratches or scrapes on your car, you should do a little touch-up painting. You can buy little bottles of factory-spec matching paint from your new-car dealer. The amounts are tiny -- one or two ounces -- but you don't need much to cover a few scratches. Generally, it does not pay to get a professional paint job just to sell your car. Step by Step : 12 The next to the last step is to wash your car. I'm not talking about running your car through a cheapy car wash. No, I mean that you should get out the hose, bucket, sponge, soap and towel, then thoroughly wash your car. Make sure that all the dirt is removed from the door jams, trunk seal, and hood area. Step by Step : 13 The final step is to wax your car by hand. This is old-school, but it works. Find a shady spot on a day that is not too hot. Rub the wax on your car using a circular motion. Cover about 1 - 2 square feet at a time. After the polish has set up for a few minutes, polish the wax until that part of the car gleams. Repeat the process until the entire car shines as did on the day it rolled on the assembly line. Tips & Warnings Don't spend a lot of money prepping you car for re-sale. Remember that appearance counts to the buyer. When you buy a new car, treat it this well all the time. When you step on the brake pedal, small pistons in the master cylinder force brake fluid out of the master cylinder and into the brake lines. I tell you how to buy the proper brake fluid and work with it safely in "Flushing and Changing Brake Fluid" in Chapter 18. If your brakes are working properly, the pedal should stop a couple of inches from the floor. It should push down easily, stop firmly at its lowest point without feeling spongy, and stay put instead of sinking down slowly when you put normal pressure on it. To check the brakes on your vehicle, see Chapter 18. Figure 10-2: Isuzu . What is the name of cristiana ronaldo latest car?
Infiniti Q. * The power brake booster is located near the master cylinder. .Chapter 10: Ifs the Brakes! 1 B 1 The pou/er-brake boaster Today, most vehicles have power brakes. If your car has power brakes, a brake booster is located between the brake pedal and the master cylinder to increase the force applied to the pistons in the master cylinder so that your car can stop with less effort on your part (see Figure 10-2). The two most common types are vacuum-assisted boosters, which use engine vacuum and atmospheric pressure to do the job, and hydraulic-assisted boosters (commonly referred to as "hydro-boost units"), which use hydraulic pressure from the car's power steering to accomplish the same thing. Some vehicles with anti-lock brake systems (ABS) have a hydraulic pump to generate pressure for booster operation. (There's a section on ABS at the end of this chapter.) Power brake booster -Master cylinder The brake master cylinder Look under the hood of your car, up near the firewall on the driver's side. You should see either a metal box or a plastic bottle. Have you found it? This piece is the brake master cylinder (see Figures 10-3 and 10-4). It's filled with brake fluid and is connected to your brake pedal, with brake lines leading from it to the four wheels of your car. When you step on the brake pedal, fluid goes out of the master cylinder into the brake lines. When you release the pedal, the fluid flows back into the master cylinder. In Chapter 18,1 show you how to open and check the master cylinder safely. This task is also part of the monthly under-the-hood check in Chapter 3. 182 Part ll: What Makes l! Go? Isuzu .
